This is not my first obsession with a potato vine. It’s fascinating to watch these things grow. When I was a part of the hours a potato vine made my hour at least once. I thought it was worthy of an hour that’s for sure.
It’s so easy and in some ways it’s practically free entertainment. It just has the initial cost of the potato. I suppose it sort of depends on the potato too. Some I have grown have heart shaped leaves, while other are more pointy leaves. I’m not an expert on potatoes and the shapes of their leaves. It’s always a surprise as I watch them open. The one I have here seems to be more pointy. I need to find the ones that make hearts. The heart leaves makes me happy, even more happy than these leaves.
I plopped this half potato in water 7 days ago, the first whole entire day I accidentally had it in the water upside down. Tomorrow these leaves may open. You can bet I’ll take their picture. In this one afternoon this one plant kept me entertained for so many minutes. It’s that fun. I’m just saying. You should try it. I think you might have fun too. It’s a miracle the way it shows you a different picture every single day as it reaches towards the light.
