life in a northern town

September 12, 2016

Life in a Northern Town by the Dream Academy, this song was released in 1985.  This means I was 15 years old and that’s just one year ahead of little Miss Abbie.  I LOVED this song.  I absolutely loved this song at age 15.  I would sit still and listen to it when it came on the radio.  I may have even sang with it a little bit.  Known fact.  I don’t really sing.  I listen.  Real big listener.  Mover.  I’m a mover.  I love to move and listen.  Not a big singer.  I just wanted to talk about this song today because it came on the radio and here it is 31 years later and it comes on the radio.  I smile, listen like crazy and sing just a little.  I still LOVE IT.  I will never turn the station when this song comes on, which isn’t very often.  I love songs that tell stories, I loved them as a young teen girl and I still love them now.  I love song stories, book stories and life stories.  Stories are just good. I could sit around all day long and just listen to stories.

What songs do you love that you will never turn the station to?

I want to thank you for stopping by. I appreciate you taking an interest in what I share here in this space.  I know you are very busy so it means even more when you take a moment of your time to spend it here.  I'm very grateful. I have been spending more time on You Tube and if you would like to visit there, I would love to see you.
