the little yellow book

May 19, 2016

I realize this moment is very staged.  But there is a story.  I usually have a story.  Firstly the little tiny basil plant is something I’m trying to root so I can replant since my basil has gone to seed.  Mama Bear told me this trick.  It’s so sweet in that tiny bottle.

Today I met up with a friend who was willing to drive my way, she brought this yellow book,  copyright 1954 of “Around the World in 2,000 Pictures.”  Then she slips a beautiful feather bookmark inside the yellow book, the book that is fairly old…just fairly old and smells delicious.  I swear “they” whoever “they” are better not ever, ever do away with books.  There will be quite a rebellion out of me, mark my words.  That being said.  I still love to hold real books in my hand.  Love technology as you know but a real book.  Nothing like it.

Back to this story.  The feather bookmark is where San Francisco starts, the Golden Gate Bridge…1954 have you.  How things have changed since 1954.  Like I would know…I wasn’t even born but these pictures inside this yellow book show me just how much this world has changed since 1954.  Day 146

I want to thank you for stopping by. I appreciate you taking an interest in what I share here in this space.  I know you are very busy so it means even more when you take a moment of your time to spend it here.  I'm very grateful. I have been spending more time on You Tube and if you would like to visit there, I would love to see you.
