We did something totally fun and out of the ordinary for a Thursday night. Let me tell you something about me. I’m usually up for about any kind of adventure (except jumping out of an airplane) that being said, I don’t plan much. I don’t come up with too many ideas, I don’t know what’s hip and cool. I live in some alternative planet (my mind) and it often leaves me totally out of the loop on the NOW and forget about talking in abbreviations because it takes me way too long to figure out what’s being said in that shorthand way of talking.
So when I meet someone who is in the KNOW and likes to plan adventures and actually invites me, well, heck yeah I’m IN. Especially if said person does the driving (lol) That’s a whole other story. I have sensitive breaks…what can I say, and I don’t like left hand turns and a bunch of other driving “things” it’s complicated.
My friend invited us to the Urban lights and a little Melrose Avenue wall art fun. We left our side of town by around 6:30 so it didn’t give us a ton of time before the sun began to set but we sure found a way to have those few hours be worthwhile. I really should consider bringing my “big” camera out of retirement, once we got there I was truly regretting that I didn’t bring her along, she has always been my long time faithful friend. All the pictures I share in this blog and there will be lots because it was hard to narrow them down, were all taken with my iphone.
Let me end by saying my new friend said she needed an Ethel because of course she is Lucy. To that I say, I’ll be her Ethel any day even though I secretly want to be Lucy (giggle) Either way it’s a comedy of errors when we meet up with our girls. It’s for sure great quality mother daughter friend time. I feel truly blessed by the friendship we share and that our girls can be good friends too.
